A private family residence is seeking an experienced, highly discreet Private Chef to oversee thoughtful, nourishing meal preparation within a high-touch household environment. This role primarily focuses on breakfast and dinner service throughout the week, while also supporting occasional private dinners and intimate in-home entertaining. The ideal candidate brings strong culinary versatility, professionalism, organization, and the ability to independently manage kitchen operations with minimal oversight. We are seeking someone who understands how to create elevated yet approachable meals that support both adults and children, while maintaining exceptional hospitality standards and discretion at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily breakfast and dinner service for the household approximately 5–6 days per week.
  • Design balanced, nourishing, and family-friendly weekly menus.
  • Create meals that support the nutritional and developmental needs of children while remaining elevated for adults.
  • Accommodate dietary preferences, allergies, and evolving household needs.
  • Handle grocery shopping, ingredient sourcing, and kitchen inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and highly functional kitchen environment.
  • Support occasional private dinners, gatherings, and in-home entertaining.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong household etiquette at all times.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience within a private residence, luxury hospitality, or high-touch service environment strongly preferred.
  • Broad cuisine fluency with the ability to prepare a variety of global and wellness-focused dishes.
  • Strong understanding of nutrition, family-style meal planning, and child-friendly culinary preparation.
  • Highly organized with strong operational discipline and time management.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently.
  • Adaptable, calm under pressure, and solutions-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills with a service-minded approach.
  • Commitment to discretion, privacy, and professionalism.
  • Clean, polished, and well-groomed presentation required.

Additional Details

  • Approximately 5–6 days per week.
  • Breakfast and dinner preparation/service.
  • Occasional evening or weekend flexibility required.
  • Live-out arrangement.
  • 1099 independent contractor position.
